Montego Bay is the second city and also one of our major tourist towns in the Island, located in the Parish of St. James.

As with all major cities around the world you do have a downside, and living in Montego Bay Jamaica Real Estate is no exception, you might have a job, but unless it is very well-paid, you will not be able to afford many of the things that there are to do. It is particularly difficult to find good, cheap accommodation and often time’s goods and services are very expensive, especially in a tourist town.

With the influx of persons coming, overcrowding then becomes a major problem. An individual wanting to improve on personal Jamaica real estate development from rural areas because of lack of jobs, limited education or just young people leaving home, choose to live in the city.

Now they are in the city with no where to stay, there is prime land, resulting in illegal settlements thus creating depressed communities and depreciating the value of other good locations.

This breakdown of overcrowding, lack of jobs, limited education then leads to a major problem which is crime, criminals prey on the working class and even themselves.

As a result of these breakdowns and even more, one would be scared to live in the city, but as with anything there is a plus and minus.
